What does Fountain of Joy Care and Transportation do?+
Fountain of Joy provides in-home personal care and non-emergency medical transportation for seniors, adults with disabilities, patients, families, and care teams in King County and Snohomish County, WA.
Do you provide both home care and transportation?+
Yes. Fountain of Joy offers two core services: in-home personal care and non-emergency medical transportation. Some clients may need one service, while others may benefit from both.
Who do you help?+
We help seniors, adults with disabilities, patients, family caregivers, healthcare providers, care coordinators, senior living communities, adult family homes, and community partners.
In-Home Personal Care Questions
What is in-home personal care?+
In-home personal care is non-medical support with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, mobility support, errands, medication reminders, and routine assistance at home.
Is personal care the same as medical home health?+
No. Personal care is generally non-medical support with daily living activities. Skilled nursing, therapy, clinical services, or medical treatment should only be discussed if those services are confirmed, staffed, and properly licensed.
Can you help with bathing, dressing, and grooming?+
Personal care assistance may include help with bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene routines, and related daily activities depending on the client’s care needs and service plan.
Do you offer respite support for family caregivers?+
Respite support may be available for family caregivers who need temporary help caring for a loved one at home.
Can care be recurring?+
Yes. In-home personal care may be arranged on a recurring schedule depending on availability, care needs, and service fit.
Transportation Questions
What is non-emergency medical transportation?+
Non-emergency medical transportation helps people get to and from care when they do not need an ambulance but cannot use ordinary transportation comfortably or safely.
Do you provide emergency transportation?+
No. Fountain of Joy provides non-emergency transportation only. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911.
Do you provide wheelchair transportation?+
Wheelchair-accessible transportation may be available. Please contact us to confirm wheelchair type, transfer ability, pickup access, destination access, and availability.
Can I schedule recurring medical rides?+
Recurring rides may be available for dialysis, therapy, rehabilitation, routine appointments, and other ongoing care needs.
Do you provide hospital discharge transportation?+
Non-emergency hospital discharge transportation may be available. Please call to confirm discharge timing, hospital pickup location, destination, mobility needs, and ride type.
Family Questions
Can I request care for a parent or loved one?+
Yes. Family members and caregivers can contact Fountain of Joy to discuss in-home personal care, transportation, or both for a loved one.
What if I am not sure what service is needed?+
Call us. We can talk through the situation and help you understand whether in-home personal care, transportation, or a combination of services may be appropriate.
Can one person receive both personal care and transportation?+
Yes. Some clients may need help at home and transportation to appointments. Contact us to discuss the client’s care needs, transportation needs, and schedule.
Partner Questions
Can facilities or care teams refer clients?+
Yes. Facilities, clinics, care teams, discharge planners, adult family homes, senior living communities, case managers, and community partners can contact us to discuss referrals.
Do you work with discharge planners?+
Discharge planners may contact us to discuss non-emergency transportation needs and possible in-home support after discharge.
Payment and Coverage Questions
Do you accept private pay?+
Private-pay services may be available. Please contact us to discuss the service needed and request more information.
Do you accept Medicaid or Apple Health?+
Some care and transportation services may need to be arranged through authorized programs, brokers, payers, or referral processes. Please call us to discuss your situation. Do not assume coverage is available until it has been confirmed.
How much does care or transportation cost?+
Pricing may depend on service type, location, schedule, care needs, mobility needs, transportation distance, and whether support is one-time or recurring. Contact us for more information.
